Yamilka

Yamilka
   A story from the Arabian Nights relating, inter alia how the family of a serpent king were killed by the falling of a star from heaven. It is an early disaster myth which has survived by being incorporated in Arab folklore. There is also a marked similarity to the Gilgamesh story and the story of the Shipwrecked Sailor.
